Opening Day

SNOWBIRD, UT — For the new ski season, in light of the fact that I added 20 pounds while living in Boston for most of the past year, I needed to purchase new ski pants to accomodate my additional girth. All the while, the outside temperature plummeted down to 5 degrees by the time we parked. The sky was very clear, despite the cold temperatures; however, it was so cold that all the moisture in the air crystalized, which created a hovering cloud over Cannon Mountain.
