Today will probably be the last day of the ski season for me because of a planned trip to the Tetons next weekend. There is a chance that Snowbird will stay open later than June 15th, but they likely won't make an announcement until after next weekend.
After a week of cool temperatures and about a foot more snow, Snowbird's coverage is still excellent. The temperature at the mountain today, in fact, was quite chilly, despite the clear skies. The snow was hardpacked near the top of Snowbird, but quickly softened up as one moved down the mountain. The groomers today were perfect spring groomers, in my opinion.
I had an absolute blast just ripping down the mountain on the groomers in Peruvian Gulch all afternoon. If today has to be the last ski day of the season, then it's all good, because it was excellent.
