The Snowbird website today read, "Open weekends only through May 29th, or maybe even longer..." Next weekend, my roommate Brendan and I are taking a road trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico, so this ski day could very well be my last of this ski season.

Last Ski Day of the Season
Last Ski Day of the Season?
I'll be honest. I wasn't particularly excited or even interested in going skiing today. My lengthy layoff from skiing, which included my graduate school graduation and a trip to Las Vegas, put skiing on the back burner of my proverbial stove.
Last Ski Day for a While
It's surreal to me that I drove to and from Snowbird today with the air conditioning on in my car. I walked to Snowbird Center wearing shorts and a t-shirt--and I was hot. I skied (again) without a hat or jacket. Instead, I wore just my ski pants (sans long-underwear), a wicking long-underwear shirt and a t-shirt over that layer just for looks. I can't believe that it's May and that I'm still having ski days better than almost any ski day I ever enjoyed at Bristol during my first nine (or so) years of skiing.
