Trip Summary

This trip went through at least three incarnations in its planning stages. First, I had planned separate trips--one to Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park, and another to just Crater Lake. With the Pioneer Day holiday coming up, however, Brendan had some additional time to take for this trip, so we decided to combine the two trips, but exclude Yoesemite National Park because it was too far out of the way. With the trip specifics planned and the reservations made, Brendan and I invited several friends. Mindy was the only one to accept the invitation. So, with Team 4Runner re-formed, we set off on one of the most elaborate road trips I had ever concocted. The story of this trip, however, goes beyond the planned itinerary. Some noteworthy additions included diving into Crater Lake and driving through the densely forested coastal mountain range to the Pacific Coast. This trip was one of the most dynamic and spontaneous trips I have ever been on.
